Utilities and Council Tax

For gas, electricity, internet and telephone we recommend that you contact suppliers of your choice to set up your accounts.

Water will have to be organised with the local water board we will take care of this if you are living in one of our managed properties. If you are in direct contact with your landlord they will be responsible for transferring your names on to the bill. On the day you move in to your property meter readings will have to be provided.

Students are exempt from local authority council tax. In order to be exempt all students residing in the property will have to provide the council with their student I.D to prove that they a full-time student.

TV Licence

If you are on a joint tenancy agreement and you wish to have a TV in the property, you will only need one licence which can be ordered online by following the link below.

Inventories

An Inventory will be carried out by a third party company listing the contents and condition of the property. A copy will be given to you that will be referred to at the end of the tenancy. This is to check for damages and missing items.
